Hello! I am follower of Jesus. I am husband. I am father of four kids (Guy, Emma, Kendall, and Beau). In college, I was the UK “Wildcat” mascot from 1996-1999. The highlight of being the “Wildcat” was proposing to Karla, my high school and current sweetheart, at the top of the “Wildcat Pyramid” during a timeout.  She said yes!  I have lots of hobbies.  I’ve been really into skateboarding lately. I enjoy playing golf, basketball, skiing, hiking,… really any sport!  I don’t enjoy wearing dress clothes very much…which has me presently wondering why I have dress clothes on in the picture to the left.  In college I made up a few foolish rap songs which has evolved over the years to this.  I served as the Area Director for Central Kentucky Fellowship of Christian Athletes for eleven years upon graduating for college.  I continue to enjoy speaking and volunteering my time for FCA events as much as possible. Since September 1st of 2010, I have been on staff with First Alliance Church (Lexington) as a church planter.  I along with several others who are joining Karla and I on this journey, have the crazy idea that this new “church” will actually not be a church, but a network of “simple churches” that are organic and missional in nature.  This blog will primarily exist as a forum for sharing my thoughts and reflections on this new work I’m involved with as well as linking pertinent info I come across along the journey .  Please feel free to join in the conversation–as that is how we grow the most!  If you have an interest in learning about how you can be involved with this church plant, please contact me via email.
